[im Original:] Dear Susanne,

Boy, I’ m very busy. I write my final exams in two weeks.

The weather here has been cold lately.

Next year, I will be in Grade 13. I will take Math<s>, Chemistry, Biology and English. After Grade 13, I will go on to university. I am undecided – I want to be a science teacher and also I want to be a lab technician in some kind of scientific research.

This summer I am going out West to Manitoba to visit my grand parents. I hope to go to Expo at some time. Have you heard much about EXPO?

What groups are popular in Germany now? Here, the Monkees and surprisingly the Beatles.

The Tynana Brass are popular too. I think they’re fabulous.

This year in English, we studied Macbeth. I liked it. I also went to see Hamlet recently. I didn’t like the ladies’ roles. Gertrude and Ophelia weren’t impressive.

My brother Tommy is in Grade 5 and my brother Bill is in Grade 9.

I have no job for this summer yet. Last year I had clerical work but I found it too boring to do all day.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Gail.

Best wishes to your family.

P.S. I have enclosed a crest for you. It is for Canada’s Centennial.
