Briefe an Susanne, Kommentar                                             Brieftext

188. Ingrid T.                                                    Brighton, 22.5.1967

[im Original:] Dear Susanne.

Thank you very much for your most welcome letter, received last week. I am so glad that you have arrived safely in England and have found somewhere to live – certainly with six children and a dog, and also a doctors’ house you should find that life will certainly not be dull – what ages are the children – are they all young or are there any about your own age?

By all means we would love to see you when you come over to Hove and Brighton – if you either send us a card or telephone when you are coming.

We are going away on holiday May 27th (this Saturday) for two weeks returning on June 10th, then after that we shall be in Brighton all summer – we are having students again this year – but they are all boys (Swedish) so far.

You will see quite a lot of changes in Brighton as there is a lot of building going on – we now have a building on the sea front called TOP RANK, and there is a skating rink, dance hall and ten-pin bowling alley there – it’s very popular but the prices are quite expensive, especially week-ends.

Lassie is feeling her age a lot these days, as she is almost 13 years old which is quite old for a dog – but she still chases the birds.

Well, I think that is all for now, we’ll look forward to seeing you soon.

Please forgive my writing but I am rushing to get this posted this afternoon.

Yours sincerely.

Mr & Mrs T.,

Carole, Michael

& of course Lassie.
